What a gift these two are! It is always fun for me to do couple’s sessions, but this one in particular was special because it was for two of my best friends! This session had me squealing nonstop. If you’ve ever shot with me before, you know that I have a tendency to do that when I get excited about an image. We took these photos just moments after Trapp proposed to Sam. Some of our immediate friend group all got a house together in San Antonio and spent the weekend together, celebrating a few birthdays and catching up. After we all said goodbyes on Sunday is when the real scheming went into play. Trapp took her to brunch at Hotel Emma (which should be high on your to do list if you haven’t done so already), and then for a walk along the river. All the while we were getting set up to surprise Sam for the proposal. It literally could not have gone any smoother. She was ecstatic and completely taken by surprise! Spent the next little bit taking some sweet, dreamy, romantic engagement photos and I think it is clear they were both still on that high :) The goal for these photo’s aesthetic was an international and intimate film look. Their chemistry is so powerful and comes through so strong in the images. I cannot wait to watch these two continue writing their love story together!
