About a year before Ken and Angela’s wedding the three of us had a Skype call to “meet” for the first time. Literally after that one 40 minute video chat date I was completely in love with this couple. They are exactly as sweet as they appear to be. Both ver even kill, low maintenance and incredibly “chill” clients, they decided in order to avoid some of the hectic-ness of a wedding day to not have a bridal party. This made for a super relaxed pre-ceremony experience across the board. I spent time with each of them getting ready, both being a tad nervous (Kenneth especially..and yes, it was precious) before the first look. We decided to do their first look in a precious, private courtyard at their venue, Allan House. This sweet encounter got a lot of their nerves out of the way and we were able to run around downtown a bit for couple’s formals before all of their guests showed up! The rest of the night went just as seamlessly as the afternoon had been. No fuss about ANYTHING. And let’s be honest, that is rare for a wedding day. Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend of theirs which then jumped straight into a beautiful cocktail hour, dinner and dancing before their sparkler exit. It was honestly a little sad when the night was over because I had so enjoyed working with this couple I wasn’t ready for our time together to end! Thankful a thousand times over for the relationships this job brings me and for the couple’s whose friendship sticks because of the journey we get to walk through together in preparation for their wedding day!
